What we offer
Care tailored for cats
Purrs & Rec specializes in providing in-home care for cats, allowing your kitty to stay in a familiar environment to reduce stress and anxiety while you’re away. Every visit is thoughtfully designed around your cat’s routine — feeding, playtime, cuddles, and clean-up included.
Fussy feline? No problem!
Whether your cat takes supplements, likes special add-ins or different flavors for each meal, or needs everything to be *just right*, we’ve seen it all and can handle any mealtime prep and routine!
Lots of playtime and love
Every visit includes time for dedicated attention to your cat, whether that means lots of pets and playtime, a lap to snuggle on, or just someone to hang out nearby and reassure them that they’re being cared for.
Plus all the essentials!
At least once per day, all water bowls will be refilled with fresh water, fountains will be checked for cleanliness and water levels, and litterboxes will be scooped. Automated feeders or litterboxes will also be assessed for any needed maintenance.

How to get started

Create an Account
Click the New Client button at the top of the page to fill out an intake form. Once your account has been approved, you will receive a link to activate your account, set your password, and complete your profile.
You can also download the Time To Pet app so you can send booking requests, send messages, and get updates on active bookings right from your phone!

Request Services
Login to the client portal from your computer or through the Time to Pet app, click Scheduling and then Request a New Service. Follow the prompts to select the dates, service type, pets to include, and time blocks.
To request multiple visits per day, just select two or more time blocks. If your pet requires time-sensitive medications, you can request specific times via the ‘Additional Details’ box.

Meet & Greet
The meet & greet gives you the opportunity to meet me before booking, introduce me to your pets, and ask any questions you may have. We will go over your pet’s routine, likes/dislikes, care instructions, and emergency info.
I will also confirm that your pet(s) profile is complete and accurate and verify their vaccination status. I will also check that you are comfortable using the Time to Pet client portal, and can help you with set-up or installing the app as well!

Pet Care from someone who truly gets it
Hi, I’m Caitlin – a lifelong animal lover and cat whisperer based in Medford, MA. I’ve only recently gone independent, but I’ve been cat sitting and dog walking on Rover since 2019. I started Purrs & Rec because I know how hard it is to leave your cat behind and wonder if they are receiving the level of care you want. I have learned through my own experience with pet sitters the difference between just ‘good enough’ and really feeling secure and at ease when your pet is in someone else’s care. I aim to always give the highest level of care and attention to every animal placed in my care – your pet’s health and welfare are my top priority!
